Our offering of Vetiver oil is extracted from Vetiveriazizanoides of the Gramineae family. It has an earthy, musty smell and is obtained through the process of steam distillation.

CONSTITUENTS:

benzoic acid, vetiverol, vetiverone, vitivene, cadinene, furfurol, a and b-vetivone, vetivene and vetivenylvetivenate.

AROMATIC SUMMARY / NOTE / STRENGTH OF AROMA:

A base note with a strong aroma, has an earthy, woody scent characteristic of oils derived from roots, with a rich note that is popular in products designed for men.

BLENDS WITH:

Benzoin, grapefruit, jasmine, lavender and ylang-ylang.

COMMON NAMES:

KhusKhus and Vetivert.

USES:

Vetiver oil is very effective in calming and soothing the mind. It helps to dispel anger, hysteria, irritability and neurotic behavior.
